Unchanging God

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.” James 1:17

Through every season He is constant.

Through every pain He is there.

Through every trial He is holding your hand.

When you feel desperately alone, He is constantly by your side.

When the darkness seems too thick to bear, He is holding you up.

When everyone has deserted you, He has promised to never leave.

If your thoughts wander to the blackest of corners, He meets you there.

If you never knew love, He gives it freely.

If your heart has been crushed one too many times, He is a healing balm.

The sun rises and sets, comes and goes, but He never leaves.

The storms unpredictably rage, but He stands strong against the wind.

The rain and fog cloud our sight and leave us discouraged, but He shines even brighter.

Didn’t He create and name the stars?

Didn’t He stretch the neck of the giraffe and form the elephant's trunk?

Didn’t He give the lilies their vibrancy and intricately paint the rose?

Why wouldn’t He reach into your darkness?

Why wouldn’t He hold you tightest in your despondency?

Why wouldn’t He wipe away your tears?

He loves you because He is constant.

He values you because He is constant.

He cherishes you because He is constant.
