The Sun Will Rise Again

(I wrote this after a very long night with a sleepless baby. When I opened the blinds in the morning there was a gorgeous pink and purple sunrise.)

Even in the darkest of nights we know

Even in the sleeplessness we know

The sun will rise again.

Even when tears stain your pillow we know

Even when the dreams are not sweet we know

The sun will rise again.

Even if the stars aren’t shining we know

Even if the moon is dark we know

The sun will rise again.

Even when the clouds might block the rising we know

Even when it is not resplendent we know

The sun will rise again.

Even when He could not see past the grave we know

Even though the separation tore Him apart we know

The Son will rise again.

The Son rose again for you.
